The end of the year always seems like a good time to reflect. The beautifully designed and researched UX Tools Survey for 2021 got me thinking about the tools we use day-to-day, as well as the tools we don’t use (but wish we knew more about).
The Survey, put together by UX Tools founders Jordan Bowman and Taylor Palmer asks the community about the tools they use, and the circumstances they use them.
Some highlights that I found interesting:
Voted as the most exciting tool of 2021 was Figma, which we have started using much more heavily in the past year compared to 2020.
Figjam (voted number 3 most exciting) is a new feature from the Figma team for whiteboarding which we had loads of fun trying out (especially the virtual high fives).
The Adobe suite isn’t very heavily featured in these results at all, which probably isn’t too surprising since this list focuses on UX and UI design, rather than straight graphic and web design.
Check out the survey here for more interesting stats on tools that designers used in 2021.
