Webflow Conf 2022 took place in San Francisco earlier this month, and it was packed full of announcements, updates and inspiring stories. Here are some of my personal highlights.
Variable font support
Type can be a hugely impactful part of a design and I love using variable fonts to add dynamic messaging to websites. Using animated, interactive and scalable fonts to help get the message across on websites opens up so many possibilities. So when Webflow announced that variable fonts will soon be supported right in the designer, I was super excited.
Components
Webflow's symbol feature is all grown up - it's evolving to components and with the new name comes valuable improvements. This means that elements we use in a design over and over again (navigation bars, calls to action, cards), are much smarter and more flexible. Possibilities and functionality just got a lot more interesting!
Logic
Webflow sites are already super smart, and can be linked to 3rd party sites like Integromat and Zapier for automations and workflows that make life easier. But Webflow logic will mean that integrations can be simplified and built natively into Webflow. Logic is in Beta stages just now, and we're excited to get started.
Generation No-Code stories
Webflow empowers creators from all creative backgrounds to tell stories and level up in the design world. In a series of short videos, Generation No-Code features stories from the Webflow community. From COVID triumphs to solving complex problems simply, the series is super inspiring and is the core of why Webflow is such a great platform.
